John Craig, Robert Craig and Wesley Craig started J W Welding Supplies & Tools in 1978 offering service of quality products at reasonable rates out of the back of a pick-up truck. The motto of the business was “Service only a family owned and operated business can supply”, which is still supported today by the company surviving family members.

Hard work coupled with fierce determination lead to many strong relationships with local businesses and the farming/ranching community’s that helped permanently root J W Welding Supplies & Tools in Fallon Nevada. Wesley Craig went off on a different venture and Robert Craig stayed as a silent partner. In 1979 on the corner of Taylor Place and the Reno Highway we opened our first store, having only 2 employees. In 1993 J W Welding Supply opened a new facility at our current location and now has 14 employees, a pumping facility, much more land and products to serve our community and surrounding areas. In 1997 we expanded and put in a satellite store in Sparks Nevada to help us better serve the Reno, Sparks, Carson City, and surrounding areas.
